What do we do
Recurring services and specialized work on instruments, avionics, radio, and associated systems. Each job includes a certified protocol submitted to the aeronautical authority.
Transponder verification
RAAC 91.413
Biennial inspection and testing of ATC transponders in accordance with RAAC requirements. Delivery of certified protocol and record for the aircraft’s historical logbook.
Static-dynamic check
RAAC 91.411
Pitot-static system inspection and altimeter testing every 24 months. Leak tightness verification and calibration according to RAAC.
ELT
RAAC 91.207
Functional inspection, reprogramming of 406 MHz codes, and battery replacement according to expiration or lifespan. Compliance with current RAAC regulations.
Instrument repair
CLASSES I TO IV
Class I, II, III and IV instruments. Calibration, repair and certification of flight, navigation and engine instruments. Workshop test bench.
Radio repair
CLASSES I TO IV
Radio Classes I, II, III and IV. VHF, VOR, ILS, GPS, transponders, weather radar, TCAS, autopilot and FMS.
Cargo belts and nets
SPECIFIC AUTHORIZATION
Inspection, testing and certification of safety belts and cargo nets in accordance with current regulations.

Instruments Avionics Service S.R.L. is an aeronautical repair shop founded in 1961 and authorized by the Aeronautical Authority under TAR 1B-267. Our specialty is instruments, avionics and radio for general, business and light commercial aviation.
We work with the objective of minimizing the time out of service of aircraft and certifying each job before the authority. Our workshop is independent and maintains links with international manufacturers and distributors to guarantee original spare parts and specialized technical support.
We serve operators from Argentina and the region, taking advantage of bilateral agreements between South American aeronautical authorities.

What we get asked about
How often should the transponder be checked?
In accordance with RAAC Part 91.413, ATC transponder verification must be performed every 24 months. A certified protocol is provided for inclusion in the historical logbook.
What does the static-dynamic check include?
Pitot-static system inspection (tightness check) and altimeter test, in accordance with RAAC Part 91.411. Mandatory every 24 months.
How often is the ELT inspected?
Functional testing and battery verification is performed annually. Battery replacement follows the useful life or expiration indicated by the manufacturer. Framework: RAAC Part 91.207.
Is it necessary to take the aircraft to the workshop?
Most checks are performed on the aircraft at our San Fernando workshop. For some specific cases, we coordinate off-site intervention; please contact us for details.
What documentation do they provide upon completion of the work?
Work protocol certified before ANAC, proof for the aircraft’s historical book and, where applicable, component tags (serviceable tag).
Do you service aircraft registered in other countries?
Yes. There are bilateral agreements between ANAC and the aeronautical authorities of Uruguay, Chile, and Paraguay, among others. We coordinate the document flow on a case-by-case basis.
